CIO's of India has always pioneered in initiatives linked to Knowledge enhancement, Health & Wellness of the Tech community.
During these Covid induced lockdowns, curfews, social distancing norms and work from home practices, most of us are leading a sedentary lifestyle with prolonged sitting in front of our laptops, entertainment devices. In the long run, this lifestyle may have an adverse bearing on one's health, like Cardio issues, other lifestyle diseases.
To inculcate a daily healthy routine for current Tech Leaders, prove your commitment to your fitness, we are starting a Running/Walking Challenge effective 1st Feb '2022 (Tuesday).
It's time to take up this challenge, enforce your endurance to serve the largest purpose of your being – your good health and build a positive mind-body connection.
On successful participation in the Running/Walking challenge (26 Kms run/walk in a week, Min 26 Min a day across at least 6 days in a week), till 14th March each successful participant will receive a token reward from CIO's of India, the most trusted association of CIO's in India.
Rules and Regulations
Participants registering for the event are doing so on their own will and consent. The participants are responsible for their safety and the safety of others during the walking challenge. CIOs of India and/or organizing team members cannot be held responsible for any acts, errors, injuries, misadventures of the participants.
Kindly follow all the guidelines/orders enforced by the state and central Government during the running/walking challenge in your respective towns and cities.
Practice personal hygiene for your family and the other safety around you.
Kindly maintain social distancing while walking / Jogging / Running
All participants are advised to carry hydration support, energy drink, and snacks during their routine Walk/Jog/Run as per individual needs to avoid muscle injury.
It is mandatory for all CIOs of India members and their family members to join the CIOs of India 2022 walk/run challenge to download and integrate the Strava group for recording their Walking / Jogging / Running distance and time.
You can use any wearable fitness device at your convenience and sync it with Strava.
You can run, walk, jog to participate in the challenge. Cycling, treadmill & wheelchair activities will not be considered, and any manipulation in the record will disqualify you from the event.
